About Me

I hold Master’s degrees in both Counseling and Nursing, and I’ve spent many years working in the Emergency Department at Harborview Medical Center. That experience gave me the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life, often during some of their most challenging moments, and it shaped my deep respect for the resilience and strength we all carry.

I live here in the Seattle area with my wife and our dog, and I’m also a proud father and grandfather—my son, his wife, and my granddaughter are a big part of my world.

In addition to my clinical work, I’ve published several books, especially on ADD/ADHD, where I focus on practical, evidence-based ways to make life more manageable and fulfilling. Outside of work, you’ll often find me out on the water fishing, forging metal, attending Seattle Kraken games, painting in my studio, or exploring ideas as a practicing humanist.

At the heart of my approach is a simple belief: one of the greatest strengths we can develop is the ability to question everything, and through that curiosity, find new ways to grow and heal.
